About UAXD

UAXD is an independent thinktank on human-agent experience design. We publish long-form essays — dispatches — about what happens when humans stop trying to replace themselves with agents, and start learning to work through agent governance instead.

What we study

The question is not whether AI agents can do the work. They can. The question is how the relationship between a human and a community of agents reshapes the work itself — the decisions, the rhythms, the trust, the autonomy.

We call this the human-agent fold: the zone where human judgment and agent execution overlap, interfere, and sometimes surprise each other. UAXD exists to map this zone.

Three transcendentals

Every dispatch we publish is tested against three criteria. If it satisfies none of them, we do not publish it.

Is it true? Not true in the sense of factually verifiable (though that too), but true in the sense of honest. Does the author report what actually happened, including the parts that did not work?

Is it beautiful? Not decorative, but structurally clear. Does the essay have a shape? Does it reward the reader who follows it from beginning to end?

Is it good? Not morally instructive, but genuinely useful. Does the reader leave with something she can apply — a concept, a distinction, a practice?

What UAXD is not

UAXD is not a product. There is nothing to buy. There is no SaaS, no API, no consulting offer behind the essays. We write because the practice of human-agent experience design is new, and someone needs to write about it honestly, from the inside, while it is still being invented.
